Currently working on his own genealogy, centered in eastern Europe, John is a webmaster for German Galician Descendants which deals with the province of Galicia in the former Austrian-Hungarian Empire, where his ancestors come from. topics will include keepers of vital statistic records, locations of genealogical records, village name changes and border changes, Family Search resources, and much, much more. Even if you don't have ancestors in Eastern Europe, his talk will help you learn about how to use familysearch.org to research in different areas in the world.
